How It All Began
It's Only a Hobby...
RROKD (River Rosie's One of a Kind Designs) innocently began with a few simple purchases; a strand of semi-precious stones, two spools of wire and a basic set of tools.  Those few items led me to where I am today; not being able to look at any small object without  wanting to wire wrap it.  That fateful purchase also led me here to you...which is a good thing.  

It Speaks To Me...
The comment I hear most regarding my initial line of semi-precious stones, "Talking Rocks", is "It speaks to me".   In fact, that's how my "Talking Rocks"  line got its name.  However, they have yet to whisper one word to me.  Perhaps they only speak to those who were meant to wear them?   

Oooops!
While crafting a new design for "Talking Rocks", I decided to bend a wire once too often and it broke.  Through sheer stubborness, I salvaged part of the design, determined to make something cool with it.  Pretty soon a little wire bear appeared, thus my “Wired” line was born.  It’s funny how our mistakes often turn out to be our best work!

Oh So TRENDY!
I next wanted to develop a line that was bold, colorful and FUN, thus my clay polymer “Artsy Fartsy" line was born.   Pieces in this line tend to look exotic, psychedelic, retro, earthy and of course, artsy fartsy!  
Both the Artsy Fartsy  and Talking Rocks lines remind me of two people gazing at the same cloud.  I see a gorilla playing golf and you see a bear riding a bicycle.  

Who Knew?  
I'm delighted folks are drawn to my pendants.   I think life happens that way when you're divinely inspired. 

Why
My jewelry won’t pay your bills, or bring about world peace.  If it did, of course, I would have to charge more.  My goal is to have fun creating jewelry that's eye-catching, unique little ice breakers that turn heads like good perfume.  Unique gifts, little pieces of art, that will unleash your imagination, plus serve as a reminder that to find beauty in this world, you need only look beneath your pendant.
